Join us for a series of memorable social events celebrating Commencement from May 4 - May 17. Registration will open in the spring.
Only undergraduate students are eligible to register; guests and family members are not permitted.
Events for external guests begin on May 18.

Commencement Ceremony Events
Celebrate Commencement with a series of events open to graduates and their guests. Programming for families, friends, and graduates begins on May 18, with activities leading up to the Commencement ceremonies.

Monday, May 4

6:15 AM | Mendel Field
Celebrate the sunrise on your final days at Villanova with breakfast, coffee, giveaways, and a Class of 2026 photo during golden hour! Share memories on the Gratitude Chalk Wall and soak in the moment with friends at this event, sponsored by the . Registration is required, but this event is free of charge.

4:30 PM | Rowen Campus Green
On the last day of classes, the VU Seniors Committee invites one faculty member to deliver the Class of 2026 Last Lecture. The Last Lecture and Class of 2026 Toast is a great way to celebrate your accomplishments as a class and hear parting words from a favorite faculty member. The selected faculty member will be revealed during the Last Lecture. Registration is required, but this event is free of charge.

4:30 PM | Donohue Dining Hall, South Campus
Reminisce, dine, and celebrate the journey that began four years ago with your fellow classmates with a final meal on South Campus. Registration is required, but this event is free of charge.
Wednesday, May 13

12:00 PM | Mendel Field
Join your senior class for the Senior Picnic, an annual tradition for the graduating class. This event includes four beers/seltzers, lunch, live entertainment, fun and games! Registration required.
Thursday, May 14

7:00 PM | Stateside Live!
The 'Cats may not be playing at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, but Stateside Live! is the place to be. Join us for this special event to celebrate the Class of 2026 for one more Last Call!
Stateside Live! will be exclusively reserved for the senior class, and this all-inclusive event experience includes three drink tickets and unlimited food from select vendors. Get your adrenaline pumping on the mechanical bull or belt out your favorite tunes at karaoke. Cash bar is also available in addition to the included drink tickets. Registration required.

This event is invitation-only for students who've given $26 or more to the . Make your gift today to receive an invitation to this special event!

7:30 PM | Finneran Pavilion
This signature event for members of the senior class is a night filled with music, dancing, entertainment, food, and drink! Enjoy an open bar selection of various beers, wines, and seltzers throughout the evening and gourmet catering. Dance the night away in a transformed Finneran Pavilion, and raise a glass with the friends who have made your time at Villanova memorable.
Dress is blue and white, and both formal and casual dress are welcome! Registration required.
Sunday, May 17

7:00 PM | Saint Thomas of Villanova Church
All are welcome at the Senior Mass, which brings students together in reflection and gratitude, featuring a mix of music, readings, and blessings that inspire graduates as they prepare to graduate.ÌýRegistration is not required.Ìý

8:00 PM | Mendel Field
A newer tradition at Villanova,ÌýTwilight Shadows GatherÌýcalls back to theÌýAlma Mater andÌýbegins immediately following the Senior Mass on Mendel FieldÌýfor a special candlelight moment on campus as a cohort of graduates.ÌýRegistration is not required.
Monday, May 18

A special ceremony honoring graduating seniors whose experiences have required extra strength or resilience to graduate from Villanova. Reception to follow.
Register through the Center for Access, Success, and Achievement.

3:30 PM | St. Thomas of Villanova Church
Villanova’s Naval ROTC unit hosts the annual commissioning of graduating midshipmen as Ensigns in the United States Navy and Second Lieutenants in the United States Marine Corps. The ceremony includes the Oath of Office and recognizes the new officers alongside their commissioning officers, families, and guests.

6:00 PM | Lobby, The Mullen Center for the Performing Arts
Join us for an evening reception celebrating graduates of the College of Professional Studies. This event recognizes their accomplishments and the commitment they have shown throughout their academic journey. Families and friends are welcome to attend.
Tuesday, May 19

10:00 AM | Rowen Campus Green
All bachelor, master, doctoral and law graduates and their guests are welcome at this beautiful event that brings the community together.ÌýA special Augustinian blessing offered at the end of the Mass is one of Villanova's most treasured traditions.

11:30 AM - 1:00 PM | Mendel Field
Immediately following the Baccalaureate Mass and prior to the Bachelor's Degree Commencement ceremony, a picnic lunch provided by Wawa may be purchased and enjoyed outside throughout campus for your convenience. Lunch must be purchased in advance online and will be available for pick-up at Mendel Field immediately following Baccalaureate. The order form will open in May 2026.

2:30 PM | Villanova Stadium
University President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, and the deans from each of the Colleges and Schools will confer degrees. At this ceremony, the names of all graduates will be called, and graduates will walk across the stage.
The ceremony is approximately three hours long. The gates will open at 1:00 p.m. and the ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m., with the faculty procession beginning at 2:15 p.m.
Each undergraduate is permitted up to four guests. Graduates will receive their digital guest tickets in early May 2026.
Following the Ceremony | Designated Locations
Immediately following Commencement is the President's and Deans' Reception, where graduates and their guests can enjoy light refreshments while celebrating with fellow graduates and faculty in college-designated locations throughout campus.

10:00 AM | Finneran Pavilion
University President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, and Mark C. Alexander, JD, the Arthur J. Kania Dean and Professor of Law, will confer Juris Doctor degrees. During this ceremony, the names of all graduates will be read, and each graduate will walk across the stage.
Reception to follow at Scarpa Hall.

2:30 PM | Villanova Stadium
