WEATHER PLANS
In the event that weather conditions require adjustments to the Commencement schedule, the University will promptly communicate all updates through text alerts, emails to graduates, and on the 麻豆村 homepage.
Graduates and guests are encouraged to monitor these messages closely for the most up-to-date information.
Weather Conditions
Fair Weather Plan (mild conditions to light rain)
- Commencement will be held outdoors according to the previously established schedule of events. No changes will be made to locations or ticketing.
Inclement Weather Plan (rain without the presence of thunder, lightning, or high winds)
- The start time of the Commencement ceremony may be adjusted to accommodate a passing weather system.
- Other events, such as the Baccalaureate Mass, may be moved indoors as needed.
- Due to the variability of these changes, please stay alert for official updates and announcements. Tickets to ceremonies will not change.
Severe Weather Plan (thunder, lightning, high winds, or other dangerous conditions)
- The University will make this determination by 7:00 a.m. on the day of the ceremony.
- If all weather alternatives are exhausted and it is determined that the Commencement ceremonies cannot be safely held outdoors, the full schedule of events and locations will be adjusted accordingly. Please refer to the information below for details specific to each day.
- For the Bachelor's Degree Ceremony, this includes hosting two separate ceremonies based on College. Additionally, all original guest tickets will be void, and each graduate will be reissued two (2) severe weather guest tickets.
- For the Master's & Doctoral Ceremony, the day will continue with the same timeline, but events will be moved indoors. Tickets to ceremonies will not change.
Tuesday, May 19
SEVERE WEATHER PLAN
If all weather alternatives are exhausted and it is determined that the Commencement ceremonies cannot be safely held outdoors, the full schedule of events and locations will be adjusted accordingly. This includes hosting two seperate ceremonies based on College. Additionally, all original guest tickets will be void, and each graduate will be reissued two (2) severe weather guest tickets. Please refer to the information below for specific details.
SEVERE WEATHER SCHEDULE
Bachelor's Degree Commencement & Recognition Ceremony for the Villanova School of Business, Fitzpatrick College of Nursing, College of Engineering, College of Professional Studies
10:00 AM | Finneran Pavilion
In the event of severe weather where we are unable to safely hold the ceremony outdoors, Commencement will be moved into the Finneran Pavilion and will be limited to graduates and two guests only. Due to fire code and building capacity, no exceptions for additional guests will be made. Doors will open one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
Lunch Offering
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM | Jake Nevin Field House
Distribution for the lunch offering will be moved to the Jake Nevin Field House. Meals may be enjoyed in the building or in other nearby campus spaces.
Bachelor's Degree Commencement & Recognition Ceremony for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
2:30 PM | Finneran Pavilion
In the event of severe weather where we are unable to safely hold the ceremony outdoors, Commencement will be moved into the Finneran Pavilion and will be limited to graduates and two guests only. Due to fire code and building capacity, no exceptions for additional guests will be made. Doors will open one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
Baccalaureate Mass
5:30 PM | Finneran Pavilion
The Baccalaureate Mass will be moved into the Finneran Pavilion in the event of rain, and seating will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Doors will open one hour prior to the start of Mass.
President's and Deans' Receptions for the Class of 2026
Following the Mass | Designated Locations
The locations of the receptions will remain the same and will begin at the conclusion of the Mass.

Wednesday, May 20
SEVERE WEATHER PLAN
In the event that all alternatives are exhausted and it is determined that the Master鈥檚 and Doctoral Degree Commencement ceremony cannot be safely held outdoors, event locations will be adjusted as necessary; however, the schedule, number of tickets, and timing will remain unchanged.

Charles Widger School of Law Commencement Ceremony
10:00 AM | Finneran Pavilion
The ceremony is already scheduled to take place indoors. The reception will continue to follow at Scarpa Hall.
Master's and Doctoral Degree Commencement and Recognition Ceremony
2:30 PM | Finneran Pavilion
