Being a new-to-practice nurse in the operating room presents its own challenges. With the COVID-19 outbreak, I鈥檝e been challenged on how to safely take care of my patients and how to properly protect myself until this situation clears.

I can honestly say that the operating room at my hospital has been on the frontlines combating this virus by donning PPE and enforcing hand hygiene and temperature scanning for everyone entering the hospital.

I鈥檓 glad I can be a part of nurses handling this situation and getting it under control.
