Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service: 1/19
Make this a holiday where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to improve lives, bridge social barriers and move our nation closer to the "Beloved Community" that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. envisioned. Join members of the University community to volunteer throughout Greater Philadelphia and on our campus on Monday, Jan. 19! Martin Luther King Jr. Keynote Lecture: 1/20
The Center for Peace and Justice Education will host the MLK Keynote Lecture on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Villanova Room. This year's MLK Keynote speaker is Dr. Molefi Kete Asante. Dr. Asante is an acclaimed scholar, author and leading theorist of Afrocentricity. He is a professor in the Department of Africology and African American Studies at Temple University, where he founded the first doctoral program in African American Studies. WeCARE Gender Diversity Workshop: 1/27
On Tuesday, Jan. 27, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Bartley Hall, Curley Exchange. This event is designed to create an environment where FCN faculty and staff can learn more about gender diverse individuals through the lens of our Augustinian values of Truth, Unity and Love. This will be a space where attendees will be invited to ask those questions that they don’t think they are allowed to ask! Join VU Women in Tech for a dynamic conference exploring the transformative impact of AI-powered applications across healthcare, digital innovation, cybersecurity, and emerging technology ventures. The event will also showcase research from Âé¶¹´å students in the field of technology. Throughout the day, there will be plenty of opportunities to connect, collaborate, and be inspired. Ask questions, share your ideas, and explore new perspectives with fellow students, professionals, and industry leaders. National Girls and Women in Sport Day - Coaches Breakfast: 2/5
Âé¶¹´å and the Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women's Leadership celebrate female athletes, coaches, and leaders, honoring progress in women's sports and advocating for equality. The Villanova community celebrates through events like breakfasts, guest speakers on women's sports science, "Learn to Row" sessions for staff, and themed basketball games, showcasing how sports build leadership, confidence, and potential for all girls and women.

Hearts on Fire - Retreat: 2/6 to 2/7
The Office of Mission and Ministry and the Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women's Leadership present Hearts on Fire, a retreat for undergraduate students to explore connections between gender, spirituality, and leadership.
This experience provides time for personal reflection, guided group discussions, leadership development, and fellowship.
Travel, meals, and overnight stay are included.
